POSTMARK
In the ongoing series Postmark, Bourne documents contemporary economic conditions through familiar indicators such as the cost of fuel or household staples. These works function as timestamps, quietly recording the socioeconomic climate in which they are made. While largely neutral in tone, subtle visual interventions introduce moments of restrained commentary, allowing the imagery to remain representative while inviting reflection beyond the surface.

SPOILS OF WAR
Spoils of War explores perception, scale, and entropy through a phenomenological lens. The series begins with carefully constructed, infinite patterns inspired by natural forms observed at both micro and macro scales. These controlled systems are then disrupted by a spontaneous gesture, resulting in an unrepeatable outcome. The process reflects the collision of opposing forces—order and chaos, intention and accident—and serves as a metaphor for corruptibility, transformation, and the instability inherent in all systems.
